All White With Me

If everyone has recovered from my terrible title, we can get on to the point: the white-on-white trend. It fascinates me, really. There is almost a certain magic needed to pull off said trend. I've been perusing the fashionable corners of the internet to see just how one can do justice to this summer must.

First, of course, is the queen herself, Mrs.(!) Leandra Medine, the Man Repeller:
This was from a post earlier in the summer on a similar topic. The post which inspired my own was from yesterday on the topic of "looking cool in the rain", but due to her sneaky formatting, I could not copy and paste a photo of such post, but had to google her earlier ones. If you are reading this, Leandra (ha!), I promise I am only slightly creepy in my stalking of you.
Next, we have the lovely people at Free People's idea of the proper way to severely limit your color scheme: rockin' a nice boho skirt and some kickin' black lace up boots. Thumbs up.

Next is this stinkin' Zara skirt that I have seen on countless occasions, both real and knockoff. I should've found a picture of a Celine tee paired with it, then we would have been right on board with the rest of the blogging world. Maybe a black blazer and some ankle strap heels and we could be all set, no?

Because I do not discriminate against seasons (and on some occasions this month I have really just wanted to pile on sweaters and button ups untill I couldn't "BE wearing any more clothes"), here is a more cold-weather approach, which I personally cannot wait to duplicate:

And, last but not least, the look that I will probably duplicate much sooner in the near future, a nice un-sourced Tumblr photo. Isn't this model precious?

As my basketball coach used to say: K.I.S.S.: Keep It Simple, Stupid. (Though what I heard more often was "BOX OUT FOR PETE'S SAKE").

Any new ideas y'all have seen to keep up with the all-white trend?
I'm working with some white cutoffs right now, and I will most definitely keep you posted on my endeavors.

     Peace out, girl scouts.

The Perfect Tee, part 1

I've had plans in the works for a post about the magic of the "perfect" T-shirt for a while. But this first example couldn't wait.
I found it perusing Sincerely Jules this morning, which is a fabulous blog that all you lovelies should visit.

It took me longer than I'd care to admit to realize the pun on her shirt (which you can purchase from her site), but once I did, my hand slapped my forehead in the middle of my soccer camp lunch break. I won't spoil said pun by explaining it.

Hope you all are happier than a camel on Wednesday.

Ode to Denim

These picures make my heart flutter.
Go ahead. Bask in the glory of the ever-versitile wonder-fabric.
Pants, shorts, shirt, jacket, vest, coveralls. You name it. Do whatever you want with it. Denim will never fail you.

The Perpetual Thrifting Bandwagon

It's a sickness, really.
Nevertheless, here's my spread...
     1. Overalls that I have been searching HIGH and LOW for all summer, to be bleached--this color looks too farmgirl-esque for my taste.
     2. High waisted white Guess capris to be cut off and maybe given a zebra makeover if I get around to it.
     3. Black leather belt, because obviously.
     4. & 5. Antique perfume bottles for my  in-the-process-of-being-decorated "new" room.

In other news, I got a picture editing app. Get ready for big things, friends.

The Doc Is In

The first thing my dad said when he saw my new purchase was "gosh, wear boots like that and get a free bowl of soup..."
Am I wearing them ironically, or do i really like yellow flowered combat boots? These are the questions that keep me up at night...
     Not really. I love these.
